2010 Literary Competition - 
In the spring of 2010, Lakeside’s Men’s Quartet won the Regional Title at the 3AAAA Literary Competition held at Statesboro, GA. The quartet featured the voices of L-R: Zach Stone, Tenor; Exchange Student, Alessandro Daniele, Second Tenor; Will Kuzia, Bass; and Collin McCoy, Baritone. The singers won the title with renditions of “Coney Island Baby” and “Make Them Hear You,” and went on to represent Lakeside at the State Literary Meet in Macon, GA.

2011 Hub City Invitational  -  Under the direction of Stacy Branch, Lakeside’s Show Choir, Soundsation, traveled to Hattiesburg, MS in March of 2011 to compete in the Hub City Invitational. The group performed “Shout,” “Earthsong,” “King of the Road,” “Who Do You think You Are,” and “Jai Ho!” Not only did this talented group of singers and musicians come in first in their division, but Soundsation won the Grand Championship trophy for the entire competition.

The winning team was made up of: Shireen Allen, Tom Anderson, Courtney Anderson, Hannah Basta, Linsey Blackwell, Rebecca Boland, Peter Brannigan, Jenny Cook, Emily Ann Cowart, Brian Earl, Jennifer Granade, LaKiesha Grant, Cody Harden, Jessica Hauger, Kirsten Hennen, Josh Kienzle, Will Kuzia, Alec Leeseberg, Ann Linn, Aaron McCollum, Collin McCoy, Jacob McCracken, Logan Pirkle, Nick Porter, Laura Radford, Erin Russ, Jessica Sprankle, Zach Stone and Haley Waller; and back up musicians: Scotty Butler, Zack Elledge, Anneliese Holland, Lizzy Snyder, Andrew Hutchins, Alisha Hernandez and Corey Burke.



2011-2012 Soundsation Competitions  -  Lakeside’s Show Choir, Soundsation, had a successful 2011-2012 competition season. The talented group traveled to Albertville, MS and Opelika, AL to compete against other choirs from several states. At the 3rd Annual Diamond Classic Show Choir Invitational held Feb. 3 and 4, 2012 at Albertville High School, Lakeside placed first runner up in its division.

The very next weekend, Soundsation received a third place trophy at the Opelika Southern Showcase at Opelika High School.
